I hear you there. I suppose it boils down to which schools of thought we use. I work more with Jungian psychology which predates talk about the subconscious. It was just “unconscious/consciousness.”

Today a lot of people use “subconscious” to speak about where the two meet.

I guess it boils down to the symbols beneath our nomenclature. “Subconscious” doesn’t have a feeling component or numenous impact on my mind.

I work with clients via hypnosis as well as writing prompts and guided meditations. I’ve seen a lot of activity here and just tend to associate it with the Unconscious because that’s the word and symbol system that speaks to me.

I should probably explore the use of the word in light of other interpretations. Thanks for pointing that out!
