I agree it’ll take a catalyst to shift things but there seems to be plenty on the horizon: environmental disasters, unstable economies, increased drug abuse and reports of mental health.

The world and its people are burning out and while Medium writers may suggest writing every day few successfully do it and even fewer do it well. Most of the popular writers I follow seem to post 2–3 times a week.

From what I’ve noticed the “write everydayers” don’t seem to be the people with the largest audience. *Shrugs*

Who knows?

What I do believe is that the unconscious needs to be seen, it needs to be processed. As Jung pointed out “until it the unconscious is made conscious it will rule our lives and we will call it fate.”

With so many people running around unconsciously in an environment of pressure that prevents any integration I imagine eventually the inner realm will force a catalyst even if it’s in the form of a cataclysm.

The best we can do is work to make sure we’re not one of the ones running around unconsciously even while we provide some guidance and insight for others who are working to break from their unconscious habits as well.
